PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment with which the deterioration of image quality is suppressed. SOLUTION: When a line density indicated by a DCS signal which is transmitted from a transmission side is millimeter system, the millimeter system is set is a recording part 15 and reception image data is recorded on a recording sheet of paper. When the line density indicated by the DCS signal, which is transmitted from the transmission side is an inch-system, the inch-system is set in the recording part 15 to record picture data on the recording sheet of paper when an image data is transmitted from a personal computer 2 or when it is a copy. In other words, the recording part 15 is set to be the millimeter- system or the inch-system in accordance with the kind of a picture to be inputted to the part 15 and, then, the image data is recorded in the recording sheet of paper. Then the data is not required to be converted mutually between the millimeter-system picture data and the inch-system image data in the case of receiving the picture data so that the deterioration of picture quality is suppressed.
