An optical conductor is positioned near a fuse component, and extended from a first location to second location in the housing (14) of a fuse (10). An arc erase medium surrounds the housing in which the fuse component is provided. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a fuse for overcurrent protection of electrical circuit; (b) and a method for indicating interrupted fuse.
