<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce an audio disk inserted into an extension device like a bay device even if no electric power is supplied from a host device. SOLUTION: A bay device 1, which is connected to a host device 30 and used while a recording and reproducing device 40 which can reproduce a digital data signal and an analog audio signal is put in a bay 2, is further provided with the console panel 3 of the recording and reproducing device, an audio circuit that includes an amplifying circuit 21, a speaker 18, and a sound volume control circuit 22, and a 2nd power source input part 15 connected to an existent power circuit. The electric power is supplied from the 2nd power source input part 15 to enable the recording and reproducing device 40 and audio circuit to operate even when the electric power is not supplied from the existent power circuit, e.g. when the power source of the host device 30 is turned off or when the bay device 11 is disconnected from the host device 30. The battery built in the bay device may be connected to the 2nd power source input part.</p> |
