<p>Direct tracking or monitoring of the viewing of online audio or video programming is provided. The direct monitoring allows correlation between specific content (e.g., advertisements) (112) and all the viewers who receive the content. With demographic information stored regarding the viewers (124), advertisers can receive detailed demographic information about all the viewers of that content. In contrast, conventional indirect measurement or tracking of viewers relies on surveys or samplings of proportionally small portions of the actual viewers.</p> |
