摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved material which is used for the manufacture of a relief printing plate by laser engraving and shows an increased sensitivity to laser emission without a molten edge. SOLUTION: This laser-engravable recording material is used for the manufacture of a relief printing plate, especially of a flexographic printing plate comprising a base with superb dimensional stability and a recording layer made up of silicone rubber, an inorganic solid containing iron as a layer radiation absorbent and/or carbon black. In addition, a method for manufacturing the relief printing plate by engraving the recording material with the help of a laser beam and the relief printing plate having a relief with the contents of the silicone rubber and the inorganic solid containing iron as a laser radiation absorbent and/or carbon black are provided.
