PURPOSE: A length adjusting device makes a cable length to be simply adjusted and mounted by mounting a mounting bush having a long hole mounted with a speed change lever. CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod(22) connected with a cable(10) through a mounting hole(32) of a mounting bush(30) is mounted on a pin lever fit on the lower end of a transmission lever(8). Then, the cable(10) is mounted with having an optimum length because, the pin lever is disposed on an optimal neutral position of the cable(10) for the mounting hole(32) is formed as a long hole. Then, if the transmission cable(10) is operated by the operation of the transmission lever(8) by a driver through a knob(6), the transmission cable(10) transfers operation force without having any error on an earliest and optimal position. Further, although there was no operation for adjusting the length of the cable(10) by a worker, the length of the cable(10) is automatically adjusted by the mount of the mounting bush(30) and the pin lever through the mounting hole(32).
