PURPOSE: A circuit for generating trigger in a digital storage oscilloscope is provided to generate exact trigger signal by storing trigger signal and data simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: An analog-digital converter(53) converts an input analog signal to a digital signal. A trigger generator(55) is supplied with the input analog signal to generate an analog trigger signal. A trigger gate(57) converts the trigger signal to a digital trigger gate signal. A signal generator(58) is supplied with the digital data signal and the trigger signal and matches the two signals to integrate the two signals and output it. A memory circuit(61) stores the output signal from the signal generator(58). A storing circuit(63) stores the output data from the memory circuit(61) temporarily before being displayed on a screen.
