The invention concerns a device for measuring the spatial distribution of the spectral emission of an object. Said device comprises an objective (6) forming in its Fourier plane (P1) an image constituting the optical Fourier transform of a zone (4) of the object (2), an objective (8), a diaphragm (10) optically conjugated of the zone by the lenses, means (16) for selecting a rectilinear portion of the image, means (18) for dispersing light corresponding to said portion and a sensor (14) receiving the dispersed light. The spectral response of the zone, for each point of the portion, is determined by means of signals from the sensor. The invention is applicable in particular to display screens.
