<p>A process for the production of fluorodicarbonyl compounds of general formula (2):R1 COCFR2 COR3 by fluorinating dicarbonyl compounds of general formula (1):R1 COCHR2 COR3 with fluorine, wherein at least part of the above fluorination is conducted while changing the molar ratio of fluorine gas to the dicarbonyl compound: (2) (wherein R1 is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, or aryl; R2 is hydrogen, halogeno, optionally substituted alkyl, or aryl; and R3 is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, or aryloxy, or alternatively at least two of R?1, R2 and R3¿ may be united to form a part of a ring structure which may involve a heteroatom). According to this process, the fluorination of dicarbonyl compounds (1) with fluorine gas into fluorodicarbonyl compounds (2) can be efficiently carried out.</p> |
