The safety device has a housing (1) which is fastened to the outside of a large vehicle, such as a lorry or bus. The housing acts as a support for a rear- view mirror (2), a ramp mirror (3) to assist marshalling, a reversing lamp (4), and a turn-indicator (5). The housing may be able to be adjusted using a device with two axes which are aligned roughly at right angles to one another. The device may be driven by an actuator, and may be in the from of a synthetic injection moulding. It may also have an embedded electrical heating device. |
