PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional video horizontal synchronization circuit tends to cause unwanted fluctuation at a converging point, because a large phase comparison error exists in the horizontal synchronizing signal processing employing a PLL circuit for a video signal. SOLUTION: A sawtooth wave generated by using a phase comparison reference signal is multiplied with a phase comparator input signal to reduce phase errors, thereby obtaining a stable horizontal synchronization output.
