PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for voltage applying treatment to cause a bend alignment state of a nematic liquid crystal and to prevent the reduction of transmissivity of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Alignment controlling films 4a and 4b are formed so as to cover transparent electrodes 3a and 3b of a liquid crystal panel P1 respectively and at this time the alignment controlling films 4a and 4b are formed thinly in a pixel region A and thickly in a non-pixel region B. Thereby, the time required for voltage applying treatment to cause the bend alignment state of the nematic liquid crystal 2 can be shortened and the reduction of the transmissivity of the liquid crystal panel P1 can be prevented. |
