<p>Methods for considering system-wide operation parameters in a paper machine for regulation of efficiency of functional additives, e.g., strength agent and/or sizing agent, and of operations of a paper machine manufacturing cellulosic sheet comprising a functional additive are disclosed. Methods include combinations of functional additive in the wet end of a paper machine and dryer passivation in the dryer section of a paper machine. Also disclosed are methods for controlling operation parameters in disparate segments of a paper machine; methods for measuring variables and adjusting parameters which couple operations in disparate segments of a paper machine.</p> |
