PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film which has high impact absorption energy without thickening the film, while high transparency is maintained. SOLUTION: A biaxially oriented polyester film which meets formula 1 of E/t>=0.5, wherein E is the impact absorption energy (kgf.cm) of the film; t is the thickness (μm) of the film and has the haze of the film of 2.0% or below is provided.
