PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for thermal spraying, capable of contributing to the improvement of adhesive strength of a sprayed deposit. SOLUTION: In the thermal spraying method, a thermal spray material 82 is heated and sprayed toward an object 9 to deposit the thermal spray material onto the object and form a sprayed deposit 92. Energy is applied to the thermal spray material so that the flying velocity of the thermal spray material is increased by a velocity increasing means 7 before the thermal spray material reaches the object 9. The thermal spraying equipment can be used directly for the execution of the thermal spraying method and has a passage forming member 1 for forming passages 30 and 20 through which the thermal spray material is allowed to pass, a heating means 5 for heating the thermal spray material during or after passing through the passage 30, and a velocity increasing means 7 for increasing the flying velocity of the thermal spray material heated by the heating means 5 to a value higher than that at the heating. |
