PROCESSING UNIT WITH ATTACHABLE/DETACHABLE FUNCTION FOR MAIN SPINDLE MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing unit with a quick change type attachable/ detachable function for a main spindle member improved in operability allowing to easily attach and detach the main spindle in a single operation for an operator of any level including skilled and unskilled operators. SOLUTION: This unit is provided with an immediate interchanging type engaging means 30 for detachably engaging/releasing a master screw assembly 20 to/from the processing unit 10. The master screw assembly 20 is composed of a spindle having a tool holder 6 mounted, a transferring means for transferring rotation from a drive shaft 11 to the spindle, and a conversion means for converting rotational motion transferred by the transferring means into rectilinear motion to move the spindle ahead and back in an axial direction.
