PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver provided with a reserved video recording function that is capable of video recording reservation even when a user does not concretely input a channel number and a broadcast time of a program desiring its recording (that is, even when the user does not know accurate program information). SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver is provided with a reservation condition input section 1 by which the user inputs a reservation condition. A program information acquisition section 2 acquires program information. A program retrieval section 3 retrieves a specific program from the program information on the basis of the reservation condition. A reservation information retrieval section 4 retrieves the reservation information such as a broadcast time and a selected frequency (channel number) or the like from the program information on the basis of the retrieval result of the program retrieval section 3. A reservation video recording section 5 make a reservation on a program on the basis of the reservation information and records the reserved program onto a hard disk 6.
