PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical branching cord whose one end can be used as a single-core connector and whose another end is integrated in the same manner as a coated optical fiber ribbon and can be used as a multi core connector. SOLUTION: A cord 11 wherein plural number of single-core cords 13 having a thin diameter are formed into a flat cable is provided, optical fibers whose one end is stripped are integrated at 0.25 mm pitch and a multi core optical connector 31 is attached to the optical fibers, while since the other end is an optical branching cord to which fiber cord optical connectors 32 are attached, the length of the branching part is freely adjustable in accordance with terminal working. Thus, problems on the collection and housing of the unnecessary part of the fiber cord are eliminated and the appearance of wiring is also improved. Since the thickness of the flat cable is made thin, flexibility and a wiring property in a narrow gap are also improved.
