PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clinical thermometer capable of executing continuously monitorable measurement and discontinuous periodic measurement as a maximum clinical thermometer. SOLUTION: This clinical thermometer has a housing 14; a temperature sensor 10 connected to the housing 14; a measuring circuit 13 disposed inside the housing 14, including a micro controller 17 and a data memory 18 for periodically recording a body temperature value measured by the temperature sensor 10; a mode switch 24 for operating an operation mode of micro controller 17; and a voltage source 19 supplied to the measuring circuit 13. The mode switch 24 can switch a storage rate of the data memory 18 between a continuous operation mode and a discontinuous operation mode.
