The support for a plant pot (1) or trough has a stirrup (6) which fits over a support bar (3) and is attached to the top of one arm (7A) of a bracket. The other arm (7B) supports the pot. A brace (5) is pivoted at the corner of the bracket and rests on the vertical surface against which the pot is hung.
