A storage container is used for storing particulate matter such as cement, sand, mortar, flour, rice, beans, wheat and grains. The container (100) includes an inlet point (210) through which the particulate matter enters the container, and also includes an outlet point (410) through which exhaust air leaves the container. The container is provided with an airborne particulate filter (500) positioned such that the particulate matter filtered by the airborne particulate filter is able to be contained ultimately in the container.
