The airbag is expanded by a gas generator, and its expanded shape is defined by rebound straps (4,5) inside the airbag. The straps extend out of the airbag and are fastened to a point outside it. The fastening is released when a set traction force is applied. Before inflation, the airbag consists of two layers of woven material, connected along the peripheral edge (12). Two rebound straps extend diagonally through the airbag, and all four ends (6,6',7,7') are fastened outside. At least one strap is sewn in with a peripheral airbag seam.
