METHOD FOR CO-PRODUCING N-NITROSOCARBAZOLE AND ANTHRACENE

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for co-producing N-nitrosocarbazole and anthracene with high purity and yield, wherein nitrosocarbazole can be used as a precursor of preparation of various carbazole derivative. CONSTITUTION: A method for co-producing N-nitrosocarbazole and anthracene is composed of following steps: (a) nitrosation of a mixture of carbazole and anthracene at temperature of 10-50 deg.C in the presence of an organic solvent by using inorganic acid and nitrite, in order to convert carbazole included in the mixture to N-nitrosocarbazole; (b) filtration of product of nitrosation, to separate a solid and a filtrate; (c) washing and drying the solid to obtain an anthracene solid; and (d) concentration of a filtrate, to obtain N-nitrosocarbazole.
