PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer preventing generation of streak-like flaws on the rear side of paper when curl thereof is straightened. SOLUTION: A supporting part 12h for supporting paper 1 is provided to a curl straightening head 12, and when the paper 1 recorded is straightened by press-contacting with a curl straightening platen 11 with the curl straightening head 12, the paper 1 near the curl straightening head 12 but in off-position from a part where the curl straightening head 12 press-contacts is made the same height to that of the paper 1 in the press-contacted part by being supported by the supporting part 12h.
