PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert which is to be put in a recording medium housing case and formed with a part thereof being made transparent so that a photo-film can be observed visually from the outside through the transparent part while being available for being taken out from the transparent part and a display part for displaying necessary informations thereon provided. SOLUTION: An insert is constructed of a shape-keeping, transparent synthetic resin base 11, a transparent synthetic resin film 12 and a photo-film 13, and made up in a structure wherein the transparent synthetic resin film 12 is stuck to one side of the transparent synthetic resin base 11 with the photo-film 13 being interposed between the transparent base 11 and the film 12 while a printing layer in a required shape is formed at the other side of the base 11 on a position excluding the part wherein the photo-film 13 is interposed.
