PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film roll and its package, in particular used for photo-resist, capable of suppressing wrinkles generated in transit and with time likely to degrade the image quality to a great extent when pattern formation is to be made by the photo-resist. SOLUTION: The film roll is formed by winding a polyester film on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical core, wherein the axial direction bending strength of the core is 22 kg/mm2 or more, axial direction bending modulus of elasticity is 1500 kg/mm2 or more, and the winding density of the film roll is between 1.350-1.380 g/cm3.
