PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generating unit capable of reducing the influence of thermal expansion. SOLUTION: This unit includes frames 21 fixed to a roof 11 while being parallel to each other, and a plurality of solar-battery modules 18 supported across the parallel frames and arranged in the longitudinal direction of the frames 21. Each frame 21 comprises a plurality of rail-like frame elements 21a arranged in a line and interconnected by joints 41, with an inter-element gap G1 provided between the frame elements 21a adjoining to one another in the longitudinal direction of the frame 21. The frame element 21a is movable in its longitudinal direction within the extent of the gap G1 without being bound by the joints 41 to allow absorption of the thermal expansion of the frame element 21a.
