PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin underwater cutting granulating apparatus which is prevented from being clogged and becoming hard to operate, in the granulating apparatus wherein a die nozzle is brought into contact with a cooling water at an outlet surface of the nozzle for extruding the resin so that a molten resin passing therein is solidified, causing clogging or producing a pellet of different shape. SOLUTION: An impeller 13 and a baffle plate 14 are mounted at a rear part of a cutter blade 9. A space from which cooling water is excluded is formed before a die nozzle 4 under circulating cooling water by a pumping action generated by rotation of the impeller 13 and the plate 14 together with the blade to disturb a contact of the outlet surface of the nozzle with the water, thereby preventing cooling of the nozzle. Compressed air, vapor or warm water is supplied to the space from which the water is excluded before the nozzle through a central front space 20 of the die from a supply hole 19 provided at a die 3 to help discharging of the pellet to an exterior. |
