PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy cargo transporting device of compact structure not requiring a wide space for accommodation, capable of being transported together with heavy objects, capable of transporting the heavy objects to the specified position in a container, etc., certainly with simple motions, and allowing easy operations for installation, and establish a heavy object transporting method to transport heavy objects certainly with a saved labor, safely and with less man-hours for works in a shorter working time. SOLUTION: This heavy cargo transporting device is composed of a stationary rail arranged parallel with the objects transporting direction, a plurality of rollers placed in line on the rail and rolling in the longitudinal direction of the rail, a space holding member to bear one end or two ends of the rollers, hold the spacing of the rollers and maintain the rollers perpendicularly to the objects transporting direction, and slide members placed on the rollers.
