PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generally small pretensioner. SOLUTION: The direction of axis of a generator storage part 26 is inclined to the direction of axis of a cylinder body 24 is relative to the direction crossed perpendicular to the direction of axis of the cylinder body 24 to position the axial other end part of the generator storage part 26 on a cylinder body 24 side. By this, the size of a pretensioner 10 along the direction perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder body 24 is reduced, and the pretensioner 10 becomes compact. In addition, on the bottom side of the cylinder body 24, the pretensioner has a space on a generator storage part 26 side along the direction perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder body 24 and, therefore, in this sense, the pretensioner becomes compact and, even if a structural body of a vehicle is positioned at this portion, the structural body will not become an obstruct when the pretensioner 10 is installed on the vehicle. Thus, the assemblage property is improved, and the flexibility for selection of mounting position is improved. |
