PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that can easily decode information without using an expensive and precise device and causing image quality deterioration or the like through multiplexing in the case of multiplexing attached information on the image information. SOLUTION: A multiplexer means 102 applies multiplex processing to attached information and received image information, and a switch 104 is used to select either the original image information or information read from an LUT 103 on the basis of an output from the multiplexer means 102. An adder 105 sums a quantization error of surrounding pixels calculated by an error distribution arithmetic means 108 and a pixel value of a noticing pixel having already been quantized, a comparison means 106 compares the sum of the noticing pixel with a value outputted from the multiplxer means 102 to attain conversion to a preset quantization value.
