PURPOSE:To obtain a heat generating resistor having a prescribed stable specific resistance and a negative temp. coefft. by plasma-spraying a mixture of a prescribed Ni-Cr alloy with TiO2 on a core body. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of 5-20wt% Ni-Cr alloy contg. 5-50wt% Cr and the balance TiO2 is prepd. The mixture is plasma-sprayed on a core body to obtain a heat generating resistor having a negative temp. coefft. The specific resistance of the resistor is 10<-2>-10<0>OMEGA.cm and is stable.
