PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly control the temperature of an LD element with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A mounting part 8 for mounting an LD element 4 on an insulating board 7, an exothermic resistor 9 placed around the mounting part 8 are provided to an LD board 6, and it is used for an LD module. The LD element 4 is kept at a high temperature equal to that at operation, during stopping of the operation of the LD element 4, and temperature is controlled with high accuracy at starting operation of the LD element 4, etc.
