摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detecting apparatus, for an angle of relative rotation, which is small, in which a detection output has a linear characteristic and which is of high sensitivity. SOLUTION: This detecting apparatus 10 for an angle of relative rotation is provided with a first rotor 11 which is molded of an insulating magnetic material and which is attached to a prescribed position in the axial line direction of a first turning shaft. The detecting apparatus is provided with a fixed core 12 which is fixed to a fixation member, which comprises a core body 12a and which comprises an exciting coil 12b to which an AC current is made to flow and which forms a magnetic circuit in cooperation with the insulating magnetic material. The detecting apparatus is provided with a second rotor 13 which is adjacent to the first rotor, which is attached to a second relatively turning shaft with reference to the first shaft and which is arranged between the first rotor and the fixed core. In the first rotor 11, metal shielding layers 11d are formed at prescribed intervals along the circumferential direction. In the second rotor 13, metal teeth 13b are formed at intervals corresponding to those of the metal shielding layers.
