PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit and an image processing method that can reduce an output of a reproduced image to which erroneous image processing causing misprint or the like is applied by asking for the judgment of an operator for the image which an image processing function may possibly misjudge. SOLUTION: The image processing unit has an image correction calculation means that calculates a proper image correction quantity on the basis of data of an image of an original received from an image input means receiving the data of the image of the original, an image processing means that applies image processing to the image on the basis of the proper image correction quantity calculated by the image correction calculation means, and a display means that displays the image processed by the image processing means on a monitor. The image processing unit evaluates the probability of the proper image correction quantity automatically discriminated by the image correction calculation means and warns it when a degree of the probability is low so as to solve the task above. |
