<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a jam from advancing and worsening due to the following paper, by changing a feed of the paper to be switched to a route where no jam is generated when the jam is detected in the downstream side of a means which is provided in a paper conveying route switching the paper to its one side copy and composite copy. CONSTITUTION:Paper P, fed from a paper feed cassette 1a, passes through a resist roller 13a and a conveying path 2a transferring a picture in a transfer device 4a to be fixed in a fixing device 5a, and the paper P reaches a switching guide 6a. The guide 6a is placed in a position of full line in the time of one side copying, and the paper P is fed to a paper discharge part 8a. The guide 6a changes to be placed in a position of dotted line in the time of composite copying, and the paper P is fed to an intermediate tray 11a. The paper P, if it reaches a predetermined number of sheets, is fed to the conveying path 2a transferring the next picture in the transfer device 4a to be fixed in the fixing device 5a, and the paper P is discharged in the paper discharge part 8a by returning the guide 6a to the position of full line. If a jam is generated in the downstream from the guide 6a, it is switched to a route where no jam takes place. In this way, the jam is prevented from advancing and worsening due to the following paper P.</p> |
