The buffer mechanism (33) for a swing/sliding door, especially as a spring mounting to hold the roller bodies (29) on rails, has at least one elastic unit (34) to hold and retain a coupling (31) fitted to the roller body (29) structure which rides on a rail. The force applied by the elastic unit (34) on the coupling (31) is related to the weight of the door panel, so that it is firmly held in the buffer (33), and detached from the buffer (33) when a greater force is applied.
