SERVER/CLIENT SYSTEM

摘要

A server/client system connects at least one client having at least one I/O port with one server through a telecommunications link. A server includes a device driver for controlling an I/O port; and a virtual I/O port that provides the device driver with an interface functioning as an I/O port, transmits an I/O control signal from the device driver to a client, and notifies the device driver of events received from the client. The client includes a device handler connected with the virtual I/O port through a telecommunications link in order to control the I/O port.
