The support component(19) against which the membrane(15) of the damper is pressed has a cylindrical shape. One end of the support component has a preferably cup-shaped recess(28) and on its circumference a trough-form recess(26) with a continuously decreasing and increasing curve in relation to the generated surface. The membrane is made of an elastomer and protrudes into the cup-shaped recess, acting as a rolling membrane. An Independent claim is included for a support component for a membrane damper which is produced by a forming process, and preferably by deep-drawing.
