A modular power outlet comprises a base (12) with retention arms (23) equipped with retention tabs (24) on both sides to engage in retention slots (33) in the side walls of the raceway, while a terminal interface arm (20) supports and guides the contacts for termination with power wires (40). The distal ends of the arms can be inserted between a divider wall (36) and the side wall (32). Independent claims are included for a divided channel raceway system and for a method of installing a power outlet in the system.
