PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a transversely arranged web composed by arranging a filament in the transverse direction and to reduce the cost thereof. SOLUTION: A molten polymer 17 extruded from a spinning nozzle 1 in a spinning head 10 into a filamentous state is vibrated by high-temperature primary air jetted downward from an annular primary air slit 2 in the circumference of the spinning nozzle 1. The filamentous molten polymer 17 falling while being vibrated is expanded in the width direction of a mesh belt 19 with secondary air diffusing in the width direction of the mesh belt 19 by mutual collision of the high-temperature secondary air from secondary air jetting ports 4a on the upstream side of the mesh belt 19 traveling in one direction with the high-temperature secondary air from secondary air jetting ports 4b on the downstream side thereof under the spinning nozzle 1. Thereby, the filament formed by solidifying the filamentous molten polymer 17 is spun at >=30,000 m/min spinning speed to produce a nonwoven fabric 18 comprising the resulting filament arranged in the width direction of the mesh belt 19 and accumulated on the mesh belt 19.
