PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acetate composite false twist yarn having a crispy feeling by a twist structure including fusion besides a dry feeling of characteristic acetate fiber and to provide a method for producing the finished yarn. SOLUTION: This acetate composite false twist yarn comprises at least an acetate yarn and a polyester yarn, partially fuses single filaments constituting the yarn at twist parts in the same direction as that of false twist direction and has >=1 mm and <=15 mm average length of twisting parts and >=25% and <=60% existence ratio of the twist parts in the same direction as that of the false twist direction. This method for producing the acetate composite false twist yarn, in a false twisting of two or more yarns comprising at least the acetate yarn and the polyester yarn, has <=0.2 cN/dtex difference in the maximum heat stress between the acetate yarn and the polyester yarn and >=180 deg.C and <=240 deg.C false twist temperature.
