PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage case for a disk cartridge to be easily manufactured, of lightweight and low cost. SOLUTION: A storage case 1 is provided with a case main body 2 with a bottom face plate 2a and left and right side face plates 2b, 2c, 2d and 2e so disposed on the four corners of the bottom face plate as to encircle the bottom face plate 2a and a cover 3 continuously connected with the upper end of the rear side plate 2c through a hinge section 5 and opening and closing an opening on the upper end of the case main body 2. The front face plate 2b of the case main body 2 is continuously connected with one side of the bottom face plate 2a rotatable in the direction of enlarging the opening through a hinge section 4. The cover 3 is provided with an engaging section 3a engaged with the outer face of the upper end of the front face plate 2b of the case main body 2 and preventing the front face plate 2b from rotating in the direction of enlarging the opening in the state of closing the opening of the case main body 2.
