PURPOSE: A mobile communication BTS(Base Transceiver Station) system using a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) method is provided to distribute a hardware capable of performing a Viterbi decoding only, in one hardware for processing modulating/demodulating functions and Viterbi encoding/decoding functions, so as to decode demodulation signals of many users. CONSTITUTION: A dedicated packet router assembly(30) routes a voice-encoded signal transmitted from a BSC(Base Station Controller) to a BTS(Base Station Transceiver). The dedicated packet router assembly(30) routes data decoded in the BTS to the BSC. An MUMA(Multi-User Modulation Board)(31) calculates CRCs(Cyclic Redundancy Codes) of I/Q(In-phase/Quadrature) channel data received from the dedicated packet router assembly(30), and performs a convolution encoding and an interleaving relating to the I/Q channel data. The first IF(Intermediate Frequency) processor(32) converts the I/Q channel data into analog signals, and up-converts the analog into IF signals having voluntary frequencies, then transmits the IF signals to an RF processing unit. The second IF processor(33) down-converts the IF signals into baseband signals of I/Q channels, and converts the baseband signals into digital signals. A demodulator(34) despreads and deinterleaves the I/Q channel data outputted from the second IF processor(33), and outputs the I/Q channel data to the MUMA(31). A decoding unit(35) performs a Viterbi decoding relating to the I/Q channel data. |
