摘要 PURPOSE: A fuel injection system is provided to improve the performance of an engine and emission and to adjust lifting degree and opening pressure of a nozzle by controlling the driving speed of a needle valve and a fuel injection ratio. CONSTITUTION: In a fuel injection system, a damper(10) embedding an electro rheological fluid(16) is installed in the upper portion of a rod(9). A piston(11) installed at the front end of the rod is received in the damper. A spring(14) and a seam(13) are interposed between the damper and the rod. A power supply unit(12) is connected to the electro rheological fluid via a terminal(18). Herein, fuel injection starts upon opening of a needle valve(1). With the movement of the needle valve, a spring seat(6) and the rod are lifted up. For reducing the driving speed of the needle valve, the viscosity of the electro rheological fluid is increased by the application of power to the electro rheological fluid. Then, the driving of the rod is restrained by the increase of the resistance against the movement of the piston and the driving speed of the needle valve is reduced. Additionally, lifting degree of a nozzle is reduced and an early determined opening pressure is adjusted.
