PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the layout of a document from being destroyed even when the expression of the document is changed or the element of the document is replaced with another element. SOLUTION: An expression changing section 120 changes the expressing format of a document in accordance with a designated document type. A cross inspection section 121 inspects objects plotted in the document for their overlapping relation and generates a cross table. The cross table is table-type data describing the ID codes of other objects overlapping each plotted object in the layout arrangement. The cross table of an original document is preserved in a first storing section 122 and the cross table of a changed document is preserved in a second storing section 123. A coincidence comparing section 124 compares both cross tables with each other for inspection. The compared results are notified to the expression changing section 120 and, when both cross tables do not coincide with each other, the section 120 again changes the expressing format of the document. |
