PURPOSE: A motor housing for washing machine is provided to achieve an improved cooling effectiveness while allowing an oilless bearing and a ball bearing to be selectively used. CONSTITUTION: A motor housing comprises a flange unit(10) having a plurality of coupling holes(12); frame units(20) connected in diagonal direction of the flange unit so as to form radiation openings(24) by the space between frame units; a plurality of bearing coupling units(30) arranged at the center of the frame unit so as to selectively mount bearings of different type; and a plurality of buffering units(40) coupled to the circumference of the flange unit. The bearing coupling unit includes an oilless bearing insertion groove(32) and a ball bearing insertion groove(34), and the buffering unit has a plurality of grooves(44) formed with a predetermined spacing along the circumference of the buffering unit.
