BICYCLE PEDAL WITH INSTEP COVER

PURPOSE: A bicycle pedal is provided to be conveniently used by actuating an instep support cover only through a simple manipulation of feet and supporting or decomposing an instep. CONSTITUTION: A pedal of a bicycle is comprised of a pedal shaft(2) is fixed on a crank arm of the bicycle; a pedal frame(10) installed to be freely rotatable around the pedal shaft; an instep support cover(20) freely movable between an instep support position for supporting the instep and an instep release position dislocated from the instep; a position converter for changing the position of the instep support cover between the instep support position and the instep release position by putting up and down the feet on the pedal frame; and a locking device for keeping or releasing the instep support cover in a state of being fixed at the instep support position. As the instep is firmly supported by the instep support cover, drive force is generated even when the pedal ascends. Thus, the forward drive force of the bicycle is continuously generated over the entire section of 360 degrees on both pedals so that a movement effect is improved.
