PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a virtual data file to severally record/reproduce audio data and video data, change the number of channels of the audio data and make coexist the audio data different in the number of channels. SOLUTION: Random accessible video data storage 60V and audio data storage 60A for recording/reproducing the video data and the audio data are provided, and for every data file of the video and the audio divided to plural blocks and recorded by these data storages 60V and 60A, and for every the video data and the audio data incorporated in the file, the top position data showing top positions on the data storages 60V and 60A respectively recorded with the video data and the audio data and the recording length data showing a recording length from the top position are stored in a RAM 43 and a file control information storage part 45. The video data and the audio data are reproduced respectively based on the top position data and the recording length data.
