The plug-in unit (10,30) comprises a module port (16,36) into which a PC component (12,32) is loosely inserted. Further, a unit connector section (20,38) is provided for contacting the PC component. A system connector (42), which is on the outside wall of the unit, is connected to the unit connector via a flexible printed circuit (22,40). The PC component can be a fixed circuit board.
